Seniors
The "Jwa D Viv" (Joie de Vivre) Day Center has been a mainstay for our seniors, welcoming people aged 60 and over three days a week. In 2023, we recorded a total of 3750 participations over 150 days of operation, thanks to the commitment of 48 volunteers.
Young people
We have also sought to involve more young people in our activities, in order to create intergenerational links and promote the transmission of knowledge. Our cultural programs, such as the "Haïti chante et danse" troupe and music classes, have enabled many young people to discover and appreciate the richness of Haitian culture.
Socio-economically disadvantaged people and new arrivals
Our food distribution program, in partnership with Canada Relève Vie and Moisson Montréal, has been vital in supporting socio-economically disadvantaged people and new arrivals. Each week, we distributed grocery baskets to around 100 underprivileged families.
Social and support services
Our social services reached 1605 people, with a total of 2300 hours of regular activities. The listening and support service was particularly important for elderly people living alone.
